Prairieland Amateur Radio Society @ WW9P Repeater "CQ DX -- CQ DX -- Calling CQ -- This is Whiskey Whiskey Nine Papa -- Whiskey Whiskey Nine Papa, listening for a call and bye..." .-- .-- ----. .--. --... ...-- We are people that make up an amateur radio community of dedicated, community service hams located in Southern Wisconsin & Northern Illinois. WELCOME TO OUR SITE FULL OF LINKS TO THE AMATEUR RADIO WORLD & MUCH MUCH MORE. HAM RADIO STANDS FOR: HELP ALL MANKIND. What is PARS?PARS, short for Prairieland Amateur Radio Society is a ham radio interest group that was formed in 2001. The group decided to get a little more involved obtained a ham radio club station license in Jan. '03, which was KC9DBI. Recently, in Mar. '06, the group replaced the original issue call sign with a vanity call that seemed to be more fitting for the group: WW9P. Originally called Prairieland Amateur Radio Society of
Northern Illinois & Southern Wisconsin was later shortened to
Prairieland Amateur Radio Society, but with the same organization, objectives
and interest. PARS has no organized leadership, no annual dues and no knowledge or skills requirements. We're just a bunch of licensed hams & good standing members and servants of the communities in which we live. We are currently involved in both Kids Day and Field Day two ham radio organized events using ham radio HF bands. *** Our official email address is n8cdw@ultradx.com . Please feel free to drop us an email anytime if you would like additional information about what we do & who we are. ***
