R.I.P. Bob Smith

A valued member of the WW9P family

***Picture of my beloved family member Bob, who used to like talking on my ham radio HTs at night with Jim, KC9GCR and others on local repeaters (a.k.a. "KK9CAT" on the air). Bob was born just NW of Rockford on a farm sometime in 1991. He was given to my dad from a friend who owns the barn. He was very hungry and weak. The vet didn't think he would make it, but we made sure that didn't happen. He passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home late in the evening of Sept. 23, 2011 (first day of fall) with his family (including me) by his side. He was my little buddy who stayed up late at night with me. (A couple of party animals we were.) He had a big grin like no other cat I have ever seen! A bush is being planted at the front corner of my house in honor of his memory. (This is the spot he sat in my window looking out into the neighborhood with me.)***
